Life Glow I was the first image in this series. It started out as watercolor with no particular goal in mind other than shapes and color. Once I saw that the shapes were reminiscent of a woman's figure, I began to work with that imagery. The orange circle became a life force within the woman's body, representing the beginning of life. I added the small shapes using pastel pencil to give texture and visual interest, and to imply that life is all around us as well as within us. I liked the whole theme so well that I decided to do the series and see where it takes me.
The idea for Life Glow II was to use a different color scheme. *Life Glow II won an award in the Hilton Head Art League's 2005 National Juried Art Exhibition.
Life Glow III is all watercolor. **Life Glow III was accepted into the 2003 Eastside Association of Fine Arts Exhibition and was displayed with the other selected works of art at the Key Center in Bellevue, WA.
Life Glow VII is watercolor and pastel pencil with shiny gold accents.

Life Glow IV is watercolor and pastel pencil. I got away from the female figure on this one and focused just on the glowing orb imagery.
Life Glow V is watercolor and pastel pencil. This one has a lot of intricate shapes and designs in it.
Life Glow VI is watercolor. I started out with the hot pink (opera) and stayed with hot colors.
Life Glow VIII is acrylic on masonite board.
